To Drive the Golf Ball Farther, Tilt Your Hips

From John Kostis On April 09, 2020

Driving the ball farther is at the top of most golfers’ wish lists. But did you know there’s a simple detail in your setup that can give you yards of free distance? In this video, Titleist staff instructor John Kostis shares the importance of pelvic tilt when you have a driver in your hands. To drive the ball far, you need three ingredients:

- You have to launch it high
- You have to hit it with low spin
- You have to make centered
... contact on the face of your driver

Learning to tilt your pelvis properly will help you achieve all three conditions. Follow John’s keys to setting up properly with your hips and start enjoying some shorter approach shots.
